Justin Smith is a professional booking agent, song writer, producer (music/video), band manager, sound engineer, performing artist, guitar teacher and all around life-loving poet.  

 

In 1993, after receiving a master’s degree in political science from Colorado State University, Justin Smith moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and launched his music career. During his 25 years in Jackson he has founded numerous popular rock and bluegrass bands, emceed open stages, produced and engineered CDs and videos, published a book, served as president of JH Music Experience, taught guitar for Central Wyoming College, and acted as music director for "Cumberland Blues", a full blown musical at the JH Center for the Arts. His music has been featured in movies and his guitar work and songwriting can be experienced on albums by Mandatory Air, Bootleg Flyer, One Ton Pig, Free Roaming Buffalo Herd and in 2016 he released his first solo-album entitled, “Sprinklers in the Rain”. Justin was a featured solo performer at the Four Seasons for two years running and has been a fixture at the historic Silver Dollar Bar every Tuesday, year round, for a decade with bands One Ton Pig, Bootleg Flyer & Two Dollar Bill.  

 

Justin has jammed with G Love and the Special Sauce, John Popper of Blues Traveler, Pete Wernik (Dr Banjo) and the Traveling McCourys.  He has opened for Old Crow Medicine Show, Tim O'Brian, Elephant Revival, The Wreckers, Pat Green and more.  Justin has engineered for bands such as Yonder Mountain String Band, Tony Furtado, Galactic, Mike Dowling, and Bill Stains.  

 

In 2018 he became the full-time year-round talent buyer for the Silver Dollar and Million Dollar Cowboy bar.
